This year the Naki Run Amuck obstacle race made about $30,000 for the Rotary Club of New Plymouth North which ran the event, the Taranaki Daily News reported.

The course was 5kms long, with a 10km option consisting of two laps. In a new feature this year, a shorter course kids race was added to the event. Participation was strong for the Taranaki region, “We expect we got close to 700 this year” said event director Evan Cottam.
