Mudtopia is New Zealand’s first mud festival, to be held 1-3 December. Inspired by one of the world’s most unusual and immersive festivals – Korea’s Boryeong Mud Festival – Mudtopia aims to become an iconic ‘must do’ event on the global festival calendar.
The confirmation comes as Event Promotions wraps up the 2017 season of the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge series. The series, now held at six locations around the country, started 15 years ago with one location and 400 competitors and now has about 25,000 participants around the country. Event Promotions is a New Zealand-based event management company which runs obstacle events as well as running & walking, cycling and mountain biking events which attract around 45,000 participants annually.
The promotional message from Event Promotions states,
Event Promotions are very excited to be involved in New Zealand’s first Mudtopia Festival being held from 1st to 3rd December in Rotorua, where partying, pampering and playing collide to create unforgettable experiences including world class live music performances across three days!
