Spartan New Zealand

Spartan Auckland has been postponed a third time.

The event has been postponed from 1-3 October to 6-7 November 2021.

Spartan Australia and New Zealand released the following message,

We hope that all Spartans, your families & friends are staying positive and safe during these turbulent times.

We are working closely with our Government partners and the authorities to stage our scheduled events as permitted in a safe manner, but due to ongoing COVID restrictions in Australia & the current closure of the New Zealand/Australia border, we have decided to change the dates of the Spartan Melbourne & Spartan Auckland.

Spartan Melbourne will move to September 11, 2021
-Spartan Auckland will move to November 6 & 7, 2021

All current registrations will be automatically transferred to the new dates.

We are hopeful that Bright or Picton will not be impacted and these dates remain the same. We remain committed to delivering the four remaining events in the 2021 calendar and look forward to seeing you racing soon.

Stay safe and look after yourselves and each other.

Spartan Auckland has been plagued with postponements. It was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed to July 2021, then again to October 2021, and now most recently to November 2021. Each postponement has been due to covid and its ongoing effects on gatherings and the New Zealand/Australian border. As the Spartan Australia and NZ staff are based in Australia, holding a New Zealand event means that the status of covid restrictions in either country as well as the status of the border must be taken into account.
